Barbara joined the Board of the Friends of King William Animal Shelter in 2023 and was appointed Board Secretary in July 2024.

She retired in 2021 after a long career in Information Technology, serving as Chief Information Officer with the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Barbara lives in Aylett, VA, with her husband and two rescue dogs. She volunteers weekly at King William Regional Animal Shelter, providing dog walking and enrichment activities, and supporting the organization’s mission.
