Friends of King William
Animal Shelter
Friends of King William Animal Shelter (FOKWAS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization partnering with the Regional Animal Shelter (RAS). Friends is an all-volunteer board dedicated to supporting RAS to ensure every adoptable animal brought to the shelter can find a forever home. Friends will raise and provide funds for the animals at the shelter, and we will help to support RAS low-cost programs for pets and their families.
SUCCESS STORIES
Cider is a shelter graduate who was adopted by one of the Friends Board members. Here is his story:
"Cider came to RAS as a four-month-old stray puppy. We were thinking about getting another dog when we saw Cider's picture on the shelter's Facebook page on Christmas Day, 2022. Cider came to his forever home when the shelter reopened after the Christmas holiday. He has been with us for over a year, and our lives have been so much more complete since he adopted us."
